- What does DreamBeam cost?
- DreamBeam has no usage fee. You pay your AI provider directly, and you provide the computer the work runs on. DreamBeam is managed by Recursive Systems, whose mission is to help your company become AI native.
- What do I need to start?
- A Mac or Linux machine, and an account with a major AI provider or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Access is currently limited: request it, sign in, and connect your service once you're in.
- Does it work with the AI tools I already use?
- Yes. Every agent you build speaks MCP, so tools like ChatGPT Codex, Claude Cowork, and Copilot connect to it natively. Hand off a task from the tool you're in, and DreamBeam runs it in the background from start to finish. Your agents also run on the AI accounts you already have: sign in with ChatGPT to use your existing subscription, or connect any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
- What runs on my computer, and what doesn’t?
- The agent runtime and its working state run on your computer. DreamBeam’s coordination service runs in the cloud and is free to use. Model calls go to the AI service you choose.
- What can a Workspace reach?
- Its own files, the tools you connect, and the internet if you leave that on. Access is set per Workspace, and the Workspace stays in your control.
- Is DreamBeam open source?
- Hermes and OpenClaw, the agent runtimes inside your Workspaces, are open source — read them on Hermes's GitHub and OpenClaw's GitHub. The DreamBeam app and coordination service are not open source today.
